The film adopts an interesting approach to tell a story of longing, the respite of love, finding a companion, and eventual heartache and tragedy. The manner it employs to weave its story is animation, the most notable aspect of the film. This is further tied with text that appears on screen, to supplement the visuals better and communicate its narrative to the viewer.

The plot, in a way, comes full circle - it starts and ends with the idea of a glow. While at the beginning it is about a boy who lives on the moon, it is about a new understanding he achieves by the end of it all. Additionally, the film also endeavours to be a comment on societal norms and the idea of the normative put in place by what a majority deems to be the most accurate interpretation of reality.
