The film gives a glimpse into a morning in the life of a character who lives with hikikomori, a condition marked by extreme social withdrawal. This premise becomes more interesting for the film locates itself in a world ridden with the coronavirus pandemic. Terms like isolation and staying at home at all times gain a whole new meaning. However the irony is, as the narrative puts across as well, that the protagonist who had not left his house in seven months voluntarily, would now be forced to step out for the most basic tasks like getting groceries.
Within the brief duration that is allowed to a short film, Locked Down, thus offers its truth in an interesting manner for the viewer to participate in.
