Teenaged Raju works at a roadside tea-shack. Despite the reality of his circumstance, he
harbours aspirations. The way for the narrative to describe his dreams is through a contrast with those
in economically advantageous positions. He steals someone’s birthday cake for his younger sister who also
happens to have her birthday on the same day. The man catches him stealing and follows Raju, but doesn’t take
punitive action against him. Instead, an act of kindness follows.
One can understand that the intent of the film is to promote thoughtfulness, and compassion. Though a little fanciful in its approach while constructing the narrative, the film exhibits potential in the department of visual storytelling that can be explored further by the team.
