The film involves the audience right from the moment it begins to tell its story, one which will be determined by the nature of love and how it comes to define the lives of those who have chosen to get themselves involved in it. The narrative is about Divya who is returning to her hometown to meet her simple, loving parents. As is the case with several Indian families, despite an inherent warmth shared between her and her father, Divya has always found herself at a distance from him.

While the film had opened with the promise of it being a love story, in so many ways, it is also a story of a father-daughter equation and the several dynamics that come to constitute it. Stumbling across some old diaries, Divya finds lovely Urdu poetry in them. Soon, she is on a path that would mould and reshape her relationship with her father, but in the most quiet and endearing manner.

Along with being an engagement with several aspects of an average Indian existence in a middle class family of a small town, the film also exhibits an efficient and judicious use of its limited resources, and in the process, becomes an honest story, relatable for innumerable viewers.
