The film opens with an image of isolation and loneliness pronounced within the walls of a room where a woman sits by herself. Her morose expression soon gives way to the visuals of a younger woman who battles a different kind of isolation, be it at the hands of an indifferent, distanced father, or in the form of loveless liaisons with equally indifferent men in her youth.

While she may have lived a sincere life that moved from childhood to education to a respectable job, her existence as a solitary figure still remains inevitable suggests the narrative. She may never feel like she truly belongs, living her life as a performance that remains devoid of any heart and soul. Notwithstanding a slight want of tighter control on its visuals and lighting, the narrative-building, storytelling, and the protagonist, all bring skill and deep potential to the end result.
