Made as a romance with Urdu poetry, Ghalib narrates the story of two lovers who bond over their shared love of the language. A potential love story begins to develop within the confines of a library with love notes left behind in the poetry books by the legends of the past.
The film has its moments of humour and is an attempt to adopt a unique manner for a story which is not entirely new. When the scene is set in a setting as romantic (and romanticised) as the works of Ghalib, Faiz and Mir, to name a few, can anything really go wrong?
