thriller · Short Films · english

Fragmented is primarily a story of one night when three different characters find themselves participating in events that eventually put them under suspicion of a murder. It all begins with an eccentric protagonist who is obsessed with patterns and arranging stones in his nearby park in a particular manner. While he is observed by a writer from afar, his path also crosses that of a couple. Events continue to unfold in a fast-paced manner positing the narrative's movement in a particular direction for the viewer's benefit.

However, the folly of this is soon revealed, the plot thickens and nothing is no longer as it had seemed. At the heart of the story is a violent murder and a cop's attempts to solve it when he is presented with the accounts of the three aforementioned characters. The film exhibits sincere effort on the part of the predominantly young team, one which can be polished and fine-tuned with experience and more exposure to performance and critical thought.
