Through a deep, long glimpse into the lives of Aamir and Chitra, the film presents a fevered exploration of parallel realities, the fluidity of time, and the unreliable nature of memory. While Aamir is a physicist, Chitra is a psychiatrist, and it is within these fields that their realities are not only grounded but also taken apart bit by bit.
Amidst it all is the presence of a strange, celestial entity - the red planet, which appeared in the sky out of nowhere once. The ensuing result offers an interesting relationship between the personal events of the characters and a surreal and bizarre natural phenomenon no one is able to make sense of.
The performances, chemistry, and story construction all exhibit skill, but it is the visual progression and grammar that become a truly unmissable triumph. The world thus conjured draws the viewer in, ensuring they are unable to look away, and while questions linger and persist, it is this beautifully conjured realm that ties it all together most seamlessly.
