The story of the film is of one afternoon when a man sits by himself reading poetry. The doorbell ushers in an unexpected visitor and the afternoon takes a different turn, perhaps for the better. The conversation progresses to reveal that the visitor is a young woman he had met earlier as part of an arranged marriage proposal. However, things had not worked out between them.
The woman is now visiting him to understand a few things, get answers for some questions and get a sense of closure. The conversation between them aims to be a comment on arranged marriages. By providing different stories by way of its characters, it tries to be an exploration of what all the structure of marriage entails and the manner in which two people come together to make it work.
