Mr. Singhal has found a quiet, isolated house in the hills ahead of Haldwani. As he makes his way to it, to write in the solitude of the said property, the narrative introduces us to his broker, Joshi ji, a chatty, cheerful local.

Though the two do not start on exactly the right foot, Joshi is more than eager to help the tenant but only as soon he comes back from his village two days later. It is in these two days that the horrors of the house unfold. Strange happenings involving crimson paintings, nightmares, and children who appear and disappear at will, to name a few, begin soon enough. With Joshi out of reach, Singhal finds himself completely at the mercy of the house and the shadows it harbors within.

The narrative does not use jump scares to invoke all of this, a choice that works in its favor. There is also dedication in terms of the performances and the manner in which the many production components of sound and editing are put together to complete and share the film with audiences.
