The story is set in a dystopic society where humanity has led itself to its own painful death. As the environment continues to struggle under the pressure of our increasing needs, humans fail to save it in time, or put a check on their demands. The film attempts an intelligent conversation around it, but does not entirely achieve a unique voice.
What begins as a powerful plot at the start, seems a little convoluted to follow in between, while becoming a bit repetitive by the end. However, the narrative offers an interesting choice - one between happiness based on a lie or the pain that truth leads to. What would humanity's fate, and that of our protagonist, be?
