The film is a heartfelt glimpse into the struggles of two characters, Yadhu and Sruthi, a young couple that has moved away from home to build their life in the big city. 
Facing opposition from both their families regarding their marriage, they have now come to a place where in a bid to simply survive, they hold on to demanding, hectic jobs. 
The daily routine ensures that the two barely even meet each other in the house, spending their time only within the emptiness of the four walls. In the middle of the tedium of daily mundaneness and demands, however, also lies the memory of a past, one that ensures that their present is filled with love, even if in the form of longing. The various household tasks and items remain nestled in the identity of a lover and a beloved surrounded by yearning. 
The film calls itself an adaptation of the Bengali film ‘Asha Jaoar Majhe’ (Labour of Love), and endeavors a storytelling marked by mellowness of voice and tonality, brought to life with skilled visual grammar and notably strong performances.

The endeavor of ‘Kar Bhala’ is to share a message about kindness and the reminder that what goes around does indeed come around. With this at its core, the story presents to us a rushed morning when Abhay is already late for an important meeting at his workplace. He has put another colleague, Nikhil, at the mercy of his unpunctuality and distractedness. 
Amidst it all, he also ends up misplacing his laptop which is crucial for this meeting. It is the movement from this moment of crisis to an eventual resolution in which the intentions of the plot are portrayed for the audience.

Speculo begins with a lot of promise. There are atmospheric shots, and attention is paid to the sound
effects. In fact, for the first few minutes one is thrilled about the possibility that perhaps this would be a
sound-only film, there may not be any talk. What’s also interesting is that the film attempts to use all the
space of the haunted house in the beginning. But soon enough the narrative loses these interesting bits
in the bid to push the scary. If the film had explored these facets a little further, something more skilled may
have been accomplished.
