The story of 'Gold Medalist' has a noble message to communicate. It talks of the privilege of being able-bodied while depriving those who do not fall in this category of the opportunities they truly deserve. 

Bharath is a hardworking, talented professional, and yet, despite impressing his interviewer, he is denied a job he is perfectly suitable for, and some more, because he is mute. Years later, life takes an unexpected turn, and the film’s core idea is realized in the narrative. The effort is sincere and shows an earnest desire to put its intentions out in the world.

The film wants to weave a thrilling plot marked by psychosis, insanity and violence. It explores all of these elements by taking the viewer into the story of a girl and the strangeness of her experiences. A scene of romance and intimacy in a restaurant is soon changed into one defined by violence of a nightmarish reality. Matters then develop in an attempt to engage the viewer further with the plot, before finally revealing the truth (or the lack of it) of the situation during a heightened climax.

Boomerang  | Short Film Nominee

The film opens with a young man photographing freshly cut apples and oranges for his Instagram story about a healthy lifestyle. However, in reality, several wrappers of junk food crowd his bedroom floor. 
After sometime, he receives a text message from an unknown girl who claims he is an important part of her life. They converse in the same manner for a couple of weeks and develop a deep friendship and ultimately, decide to meet. When face-to-face, he recognises her as the acid attack survivor he had helped get to the hospital a couple of months ago. Despite running the danger of over-simplification when it comes to its thematic concerns, the plot offers a well-intentioned message to the viewer using the story of these two strangers.
