A seemingly friendly and approachable doctor takes care of the digestive problems of a patient. Through their casual exchange, also invoking humor at the expense of the latter, the world of a small village is established for the viewer. Events unfold gradually to further introduce us to the protagonist's love interest, Bela. As he daydreams about her, cooking up detailed reveries, the Bela the viewer is introduced to is far from the love-struck girl of the doctor's dreams. In the process, allowing itself to be a Hindi adaptation of a short story by O Henry, the short film conjures an engrossing narrative for the viewer. Over the course of the next few minutes, the film comes into its own with a balanced beginning, middle and end, entertaining the audience throughout. However, when it comes to the doctor's love story, will fruition be its fate?

The films brings to life a very raw, visceral sensuality on screen that, though is always only spoken of in hushed whispers, is an undeniable part of human existence, for better or worse. It weaves the trajectories of several characters together to share its intentions. The viewer has to patiently watch and pay close attention to the overlaps so that all of them are able to form a cohesive whole. Amidst this world of sexual hungers, is also an existence marked by the efforts of struggling actors, of lovers' quarrels, homosexual undercurrents and sexual harassment allegations. The bottomline that the film draws is that each character has their own bit to chew, their own hurdles to overcome, albeit of vastly different nature. Consequently, as they move from one occurrence to another, a chaos of heightened energy ensues that can only conclude in a manner that is deeply shocking for both the characters and the audience.

Freudian Slip | Short Film Nominee

A group of friends led by Amy, the protagonist, arrive at their associate’s flat for a house party with music and drinks. Amy casually teases the seemingly uncomfortable and awkward host, before joining her friends. The host enjoys the sliver of attention and reveals his obsession with Amy in a monologue meant for the audience, describing his desire to own her. 
As the party proceeds, with an unwelcome gaze from the host, the film cuts to an unconscious Amy lying on the bed, her legs tied together with a garland. The film talks about the victimization of women in everyday life, and how they are preyed on in a predominantly patriarchal society.
