The film is an engaging portrayal of a battle between the Parshu tribe, and the Yamakazis led by the formidable Nobu. In the process of portraying the invaders' attempt to overpower the axe-warriors, the film presents notable special effects, exhibiting investment of thought and creativity of approach. 

As the Parshus take on the mighty Yamakazi, the film also offers a seamless weaving of an equally notable background score with the visuals unfolding before you with ease. The end result boasts of intelligent choices, and lucid, disciplined execution of storytelling intentions, devoted and honest even in the face of the framework of the limited resources they operate within. Ideas of valor, courage, and the fierce protection of one’s homeland, even when grappling with the threat of imminent mortal peril, are delineated amidst it all, keeping the viewer engaged with the brevity of the endeavor throughout.

The story is of one night and two men who share the same house. After wrapping up a regular day at work, they return home and make their own respective phone calls. Alongside the troubles that plague them, there is also a sense of unease and irritability that is shared between them. 

The plot of 'Iravin Paravaigal' (Birds of the Night) moves forward to further tie it with a sense of horror, fears, darkness and everything that lurks in shadows and nightmares. It is in this movement of the story that all its intentions are attempted to be dealt with. Albeit showing the want of a little lucidity, it eventually concludes with a suggestion of hope and a new understanding that the two characters now find entwined in their equation.

A country that is marked by disturbing news headlines on a daily basis can, and not surprisingly, lead one to a sense of despair about the state of things. Consequently, the next obvious step in such a scenario would be the inclination to leave it all behind in exchange of a life in another country. The short film preoccupies itself with the same concern by way of a conversation that unfolds primarily between two characters. One of them has decided to move to Canada for good, while the other has come to remind him of his roots to India and the family and the loved ones he will leave behind once he moves.
