Essentially, the film is a conversation that a character has with the voices inside his head, and the terrible consequences they lead him to. Since its title comes from an ancient symbol that stands for the cyclicality of existence, it also becomes a story about the inability to break out of this cycle and everything it has come to stand for for the protagonist. When the narrative begins, it has already established its tone for the viewer. The quiet ruminations of the film's only character lead you by the hand into the rest of the mess he has made for himself. However, will he be able to find a path out of this or would the truth of the film's title entrench its presence in his reality as well?

A little girl is at the top her class in terms of academic performance, and yet, her scholarship lies in jeopardy. The scholarship, incorrectly called ‘colorship’ by her innocently unwitting parents, thereby also pronouncing the film’s title, is subject to an income certificate being submitted to the school by a specified deadline. 

The corruption of those in positions of authority, and the pain of unfulfilled dreams and passion, as well as their consequences on the finances of a family, all become important preoccupations of the narrative. 

In addition to this, the plot also shares a story of childhood, and a girl’s understanding of a world where the adults around her are the only windows to it, all along tied with music, song, and devotion to bringing the narrative to life.

The narrative of Boat No: 1093 attempts to invoke a space of darkness, both literally and metaphorically. The setting is of a boat at night where a group of men go about their usual business, until a very disturbing turn of events becomes their fate. The story then comes to be marked by violence and a far more terrible reality. Inspired by a true incident, the short narrative presents its engagement with shocking events. Additionally, there is the attempt to explore the manner in which they lead to a truly unexpected and horrifying end to the night that was introduced to us at the beginning of the story.
