The film opens on Dr Vaidya’s final day at work before retirement from his practice as a psychiatrist. While the doctor is taking care of some final tasks, after giving instructions to his junior, Dr Radhika, he finds himself before an unexpected visitor, Ajay, a former patient who had been in isolation until that point. 

Through the conversation that ensues between the two, the film exhibits strength and potential in terms of writing and storytelling. As the characters continue to argue it out, they both present their respective points on the significance, juxtaposed against the pitfalls and adverse consequences, of the treatment of those with mental disorders. Two opposite ends of the spectrum are painted for the viewer. 

The tension continues to mount until the narrative reaches a point from where there is no looking away. Even at this juncture, it offers one final development that endeavors to thicken the plot further, finally tying its many components together.

The short film weaves together thrill, suspense, mystery, crime and violence to complete its narrative. The story is of a warehouse of sorts where two police officers seem to be on a seemingly dubious mission. As conversation progresses between them, the plot further reveals the several layers that constitute it. All of the action comes to center around a single object, one suggested by the title itself - a brief case. Events then happen swiftly, revealing a murkier reality of corruption, betrayal and questionable loyalties. While the two officers inevitably seem headed towards a face off, how will the film truly unfold?

The story of the film is a smart one and aims to grab the attention of the viewer. It moves back and forth in time, contrasting a happy past with an unhappy present. Consequently, it puts two differing emotions side by side. The story is one of a loving father looking to secure some money for the medical treatment of her critically ill daughter. For the same, he has to make some questionable choices and decisions, blurring the boundaries between right and wrong. Even though he may have finally mustered enough courage to commit an irreversible act, would it be sufficient to save his only child?

The well-intentioned short film is an engagement with a woman's sense of safety and security, especially in public spaces. The story is of a working woman who is living by herself away from her family. One day, due to unforeseeable events, she gets delayed at work, and decides to take a shortcut to her house in the darkness of the night. The narrative portrays several things that go wrong in the isolation of that particular night. While they may be far-apart, are they still linked to one another?
