‘Vaanapamu’ is a violent, gory ride about the murder of a woman, opening with a shot that grabs your attention by the horns right at the very start. After a woman has been brutally killed, two police officers, led by the famous ACP Prakash Narayan, known for cracking open even the most formidable cases, take upon the investigation. The three interrogate the eponymous protagonist together, taking the viewer down some very dark paths. 
The writing of the film deserves a mention for weaving a tale that is both shocking and entertaining, ensuring to hold your attention throughout. Even though there is want of a sturdier control over the film’s sound, it is easy to overlook this rough edge in the face of all the action unfolding before you. 
At the end of it all, the audience is presented with revelations that alter the course of the plot irrevocably, ensuring that the story is taken home in a smooth manner.

‘The Bag’ is an endeavor that aims to include several quick, successive developments in its brief duration. The story is essentially of one night where a man and a woman are both going about their own respective tasks, both of which are primarily focused around a garbage bag. At first, the elements of the plot are presented in a seemingly unconnected manner, but eventually they all come to be linked within a single whole. Additionally, the visuals, though not without their rough edges, exhibit a desire to share the story with the viewer.

This solo project exhibits efficient use of skills and resources to bring to life a story that is colored with humor, drama, and tension and its eventual release. It is constituted simply by a conversation between rejected pieces of paper who speculate and try to ascertain what the only human present in the room is upto. From conjectures about his relationships to professional life to financial standing, everything is touched upon employing the tools of irony, along with a commentary on the contemporary times of unnecessarily aggressive news anchors, as well as mass lay-offs in big corporations. Overall, the final product is entertaining and amusing, and leaves the viewer with the positive message of hope.

Crumpled | Lockdown Film Challenge

The film works with an interesting idea: one of a film entirely in flashback. And not simply flashback, but a reverse order of the progression of events that come to constitute the narrative. The story ropes in suspense, violence and crime to weave itself and present forth its intentions to the audience. It should be noted that though we are shown the actions happening in a slowed, reversed sequence, the examination of the motifs, the sense of guilt or sin or redemption that comes with introspection
of reflection is absent. An introspection is only possible when there is a relation or contrast with the
present; in the absence of a connection to a present circumstance, the sense of the past can be easily lost. It is perhaps this connection that could have allowed the film to be more than everything it already is.

Undo | Short Film Nominee

A scientist believes he has accomplished the biggest invention of his life: the time machine. This is the
premise of the film. Through stylistic elements of the essential sci-fi genre, such as the speeding
computerised aesthetic, ticking clock sounds, pop-ups, and so on, the film attempts to place itself in the
category. However, the writing and the pace don’t quite match-up to the innovation the film promises in the
story. The mad scientist trope is established too soon, and thus quickly becomes jaded, keeping the film from being all that it could have been.
