Cotton

By Sai Karthik with 6.2

drama · Short Films · telugu

The story maps the journey of cotton from a rag to a teddy bear. Narrated from the point of view of the piece of cotton, the film speaks of the feelings of loneliness, affection, attachment and abandonment that it faced during the many stages of its life. The film is short, concise, and result of the efforts of primarily a single-member-crew.

The story can also be seen as a satire on current times, when electronic gadgets have replaced all other mode of recreation that children of previous generations had. Today, simulation has overtaken imagination, and the film perhaps does its little bit to remind the viewer of the same.
