The film introduces us to a couple which is at the girl's house. With her flatmate out for the night and food already ordered, they are about to commence a potentially romantic rendezvous. However, despite the setting, the tone remains suffused with unspoken tension. The girl comes across as controlling and dismissive of her partner, while he, on the other hand, is silently going along with all her behavior despite not being comfortable with it. It would be this moment of unease that would take the form of a full blown catastrophe as their meeting progresses.
