It's an undeniable truth that the deep infestation of technology has altered modern-day romances in a lasting, and sometimes, damaging way. The short film captures the same sentiment in an honest, subtle manner. The nuances of Blank Ceiling become its strength, making it a worthy watch.
The scene is set in a single room, the same physical space within which the drama of the entire film will unfold. Two people try to figure out where they are headed in terms of their romantic inclinations and a desire to settle down. Through its exploration of the same, the narrative draws attention to the fractured nature of a dysfunctional equation, one which doesn't offer much to either of its two parties. In a technological jungle of hollow relationships, what would be the fate of those looking for love and companionship?
