The short film attempts a poetic exploration of dissent, subversion and marginalisation. Through the story of a college student who finds himself befriending an old librarian, Autumn Leaf introduces the viewer to the fight of minorities in a space which allows little space for differing opinions.
Albeit in need of some polishing and refinement, it employs some interesting camera angles to enable the narrative to touch upon several aspects of the same issue. The writing is wonderfully done, and is translated on screen expertly by Prakash Belawadi. Lastly, it leaves the audience with a sense of hope that though things may seem bleak, sometimes a spark is all that's needed to start an inferno.
