The film develops very unexpectedly on a seemingly harmless note. As it progresses, the story gets darker and more violent, invoking ideas of retribution and vengeance, and demanding the viewer's full attention. While both characters may harbour secrets of their own, the narrative tries to keep you at the edge of their seats as drama unfolds towards the second half. With violence, suspense, murder and mystery, the film has all the elements of a thriller. As things come to a head, what will be the fate of the characters who have located themselves right at the centre of this rigmarole?

The very first visual of the film ties up together elements of mystery, suspense and a sense of foreboding. It is a man trimming off his hair, perhaps suggesting shedding off an old role or stage in his life. His laconic demeanour as the plot unfolds further enforces an eeriness that is hard to shake off. The film is clearly building towards a crescendo, but when it finally arrives, will you be able to stomach it? Through the tension and the implicit raising of the question, Mookam further draws attention to father-son dynamics and the extent to which a parent can affect and mould their child’s mental makeup.

The visual narrative wants to employ an experimental approach to portray a reality we are all too familiar with by now. Attempting to discuss the experience of working from home during the pandemic, the story wants to give a glimpse of the many obstacles that rest within this way of life. Charlie Chaplin forms an important source of inspiration for its core thought. Additionally, marked by a complete absence of dialogue, it aims to use metaphors and symbolic images to convey it all.
