Nikita, the eponymous character, is a devoted housewife who is passionate about singing. However, the narrative soon unfolds to reveal the dark reality she lives with on a daily basis. During a conversation between her husband and her brother, it is revealed that she is indeed trapped in an abusive marriage. <br><br> Tired of sexual and physical abuse, one day she reveals the reality of it all to her brother. However, just when it seems there indeed is a release in store for her, an unexpected turn awaits the viewer. The performances in the film show potential as does the structuring of the narrative which can disorient even the most attentive and prepared viewer.
