The film adopts an approach marked by metaphors to invoke the lived reality of its protagonist. A woman is alone in an empty house where time seems to have come to a halt. Doing the daily chores and fending for herself while being confined indoors during a pandemic thus becomes the routine of her life. The activities acquire almost a rhythmic quality as she wistfully looks at the world beyond her window. At the end of it all, however, awaits the possibility of the end of this isolation by a suggestion of travel. The memento of a trip, a train ticket from the past, serves to remind us of an existence where life would no longer be marked by loneliness and being by yourself.

Two Zero, and Two One | Short Film Nominee

The year is 2050, and the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. A woman grapples with a dilemma, at the brink of a difficult decision that would determine the future of humanity. The narrative then moves to the year 2017 where the protagonist now arrives at the house of a woman. 

As the two sit down purportedly for an interview, a conversation around mythology, science, and ancient India is invoked. It moves ahead to further include wisdom and insight into a mother-daughter relationship. 

Simultaneously, as a family member watches out for another, the protagonist plays with the very fabric of time in an attempt to save someone she truly loves and needs. The conversation between the two women concludes with a dramatic development, presenting the viewer with ideas of family, love, sacrifice, and the choice between the greater good and personal desires.

In 2 Dimension | Short Film Nominee

A young, naughty student, who hates early mornings, is overjoyed when his long-time desire of skipping school comes true with the nation-wide lockdown post the spread of coronavirus. The protagonist uses this newly-found freedom to sleep in till late, spend most of his time playing various video games or with his miniature figurines, and munching on chocolates. 
However, as months go by, the once joyful tasks become mundane and repetitive. The protagonist, tired and lethargic, yearns to be able to leave his house and attend school. The film attempts to capture the manner in which emotional and physical isolation impacted the lives of the younger generations during the pandemic.

Phir Se School Chale Hum | Short Film Nominee

Made as a tribute to playwright and actor Girish Karnad, the short film engages with politics and familial dynamics and how the two can often lead to the darkest of places. As the plot thickens, things get murkier and it thus becomes a story of conflicting interests and intentions. A man secretly arrives at his home in the dead of the night to an unwelcome truth. But why is it important to preserve the clandestine nature of this visit and what disturbing turn will this night take? The plot raises and explores all of these questions. The film on the whole, however, would have benefited from better control on light and sound.

Fiasco | Short Film Nominee

The short narrative uses colors as a metaphor for life and its myriad emotions and stages. There is further the attempt to speak of gender, internalized patriarchy of women who often end up pulling each other down, as well as innocence of childhood. As a woman sits before a canvas, painting her emotions on it, the entirety of the conversation is invoked. Alongside it is also a little girl who too tries her hand at painting, thereby making clear the intentions of the dialogue conjured so far.
