The film opens with a world that is battling the aftereffects of the Covid-19 pandemic, still endeavoring to find its balance. Amidst the fear of another wave, and people’s livelihood at stake, the exploitation of the oppressed by those in a position of power continues.

The narrative introduces us to a couple who is not only facing problems when it comes to intimacy and their sexual relations, but financial penury also afflicts them. While the woman considers resorting to very desperate means to somehow scrap just enough money to make ends meet, the man begs the moneylender who owns his land, to show them some mercy.

When left at the end of his rope, what measure would he be willing to undertake to somehow find money for the most basic acts of survival? How will the internal conflict and dilemmas of both the protagonist and the antagonist be pronounced within the plot? The narrative answers these questions, while also giving us a glimpse into the very strenuous struggles of existence, and what could potentially be the cost of overcoming them in a systemically oppressive society.
