On 24th March, 2020, with the nation going under lockdown, millions of lives came to a standstill, almost as if a puffed, grey cloud of gloom and solitude descended on all beings. Following a similar strain of thought, Absence, a short film on mental health awareness, iterates the never-ending loop of life post Covid-19.

It talks about how with the ensuing monotony, people held on the tiniest achievements to keep their spirits high, borrowed realities from magical books and shoved their dreaded present away. How people, starved for human contact and burdened with deadlines, lost a bit of themselves in the process. The film greets its viewers with a warmth of understanding and a sense of belonging, ensuring to communicate that they are strong enough to survive this, and remember that they are not alone in their struggle.
