The film aims to invoke a narrative of love, separation, distance and loss. It follows a non-linear narrative to convey the same to the viewer. The story wants to be poignant and moving for which it seems to have chosen a fitting subject - one of unrequited love and abrupt endings. As a writer finds himself spending time in a cafe, he finds a table that has a reserved sign, but is never occupied by anyone. On further investigation, he finds out that there indeed is a long and deep story behind it.
It starts off as simple friendship between a man and a woman who soon are meandering down the uncharted territory of love. Their relationship grows stronger and intricate and they find themselves also spending time and creating memories away from their chosen spot in the cafe. Things continue to grow in a positive manner until one day the woman disappears from his life without a word. Despite all his efforts, he is unable to find her and soon five years go by. Despite the passage of time, he finds himself unable to move on from the love he had for her, and it is during one of these despair-filled afternoons that he runs into an old friend who will change the course of his life with a secret of his own. However, when it finally arrives will the protagonist of this story within a story be truly prepared for it?
