The drama of the entire film comes to center around a single inanimate object - a bench. As a mother first calls her son, to be rejected rudely by him, but awaits his response either way, the specific bench in a park becomes the site where the entire narrative unfolds. <br><br>  The story explores familial dynamics, especially those of a mother and her son. A reality is invoked which leads the viewer in a direction opposite of where the plot is truly headed, to drive its message home more emphatically. The film is well-intended and honest in its efforts. However, it runs the danger of bordering on sentimentalism when a slightly subtle approach would have allowed it to be much more.
